London Fashion Weekend, SS16, Round up

London Fashion Week and London Fashion Weekend have both come and gone and the excitement of hosting one of fashion’s biggest events in the world is starting to wane a bit. Just in case you missed my blog on London Fashion Week, please read it here where i also explained the difference between London Fashion Week and London Fashion Weekend.
London Fashion Weekend, SS16, was held at the Saatchi gallery on Kings road where tens of thousands of fashion enthusiasts watched runway shows, listened to educational talks and rub shoulders with each other to buy designer labels at discounted prices. LFWEND, is one of the “big four” with New York, Paris and Milan being the other three where fashionista extravaganza, letting everyone in on the fabulous world of fashion. The Saatchi Gallery was transformed into an exclusive fashion experience, packed with designer catwalk shows, pop-up shops, hair and beauty, and educational panels. The catwalk shows cover all the latest styles and trends of the season to come. Style consultant and blogger Rita Colson and i went to check it out and took a few snaps for you.
But before signing off on this post so you can enjoy the pictures, i have to say that i much prefer the previous location of Somerset house to Saactchi gallery. As beautiful as the gallery is, Saatchi felt like a tight squeeze to accommodate the kind of crowd LFWEND is capable of drawing. I personally hope the organisers will take the show back to Somerset house where access to public transport and the architectural set up is much more suited for such an event.
