Just in case you have not noticed, we are smack-bang in the middle of autumn (or Fall if you are American) and the chilled weather is a testament to that. To be honest, autumn has been very kind this year so far as far as England is concerned. The weather has thrown up a pleasant surprise and stayed relatively warm for the the time of the year.
One thing I always look forward to during autumn is the falling leaves and how nature paints beautiful images all around us. Living in a concrete jungle like London unfortunately robs one of this natural beauty.
Anyway before I digress any further, this post is part of my autumn collection shoot I did a couple of months ago with three other incredible talents (a model, a creative director, and a photographer) whom I will introduce to you later on in other posts.
For this post, I will share with you an alternative autumn look which I think works very well for mild weather conditions.
Let me just say that coats and jackets like trench, parka, quilted and the likes all works well in terms keeping you warm but do not always do the best job when it comes to complementing the entire look.
Let me just say that coats and jackets like trench, parka, quilted and the likes all works well in terms keeping you warm but do not always do the best job when it comes to complementing the entire look. For most people, its either they are warm and comfortable in a big ol coat or they look good and dandy but left cold.
This look is simple but elegant and practical as it keeps you warm yet leaves you stylish. I like this look because it enables me to show almost everything I wore in perfect proportions from the bow tie to the socks. The statement piece for this look has to be the blue sleeveless body warmer jacket as without it, this look wouldn’t have been possible. The fact that it is double breasted, for me, gives it an extra level of sophistication.
Anyway, I have described the entire look below. See what you think and make sure you leave your views and comments in the comment section.
What I wore:
Body warmer/Jacket – Suitsupply
Textured knit jumper – Massimo Dutti
Shirt – TM Lewin
Bow Tie – Suit Supply
Trouser – Ben Sherman
Shoes – Poste
Socks – Charles Tyrwhitt
Do you think you can pull off this look or is this look not for you at all? How would you wear the body warmer?
Photographer – Mr Skee
Location: West Thirty Six
Your style is impeccable. More men should dress like this. I think one of the best parts of fall weather is that you can layer, thus creating warmth.
Ah thanks Liz. Massive complements there. Absolutely, layering is for fall.
You look stylish as ever. I can’t wait for winter to start so I can follow some of your tips. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Bless you Raza! Appreciate your support as always. Yeah i have a few projects ready to go only for winter. Stay tuned
