From the office to the weekend! Ok strictly speaking, from the office to the weekend via a bar or even a night out. Sounds about right? Just reading that must have given you a good feeling knowing how much you’ve been looking forward to the weekend.Unless you do shift work where you are required to work weekends or have the privilege to work from home, that feeling is all too familia.

Fridays are notoriously known as laid-back days at the office, nicely setting the tone for the coming couple of days.
For this reason, a lot of offices tend to adopt a more casual dress code for staff members. Most corporate offices have a dress code which is in line with looking smart. From Monday to Thursday, one is expected to “play ball” (as it were) with these rules and let your hair down on a Friday. However, we have all seen the odd staff member who’ve pushed the barrier out just a bit too far. I mean some of the things I have seen people wear into a corporate environment is truly cring worthy. From wearing flip flops to ripped jeans with only a few strands of threads holding together the bottom half to the top half. I am by no means being judgemental or at least I hope I do not sound like I am. side eye.
Anyway you know what they say, to each his own. With that being said, I thought I share with you this look which I personally think is more on the corporate side than the usual laid back look.
To break down the corporate tendencies of the look, I made sure to incorporate a tie in the colour of yellow which I personally think is more suited for social events than office use.

Complementing the tie is a lightly coloured yellow polka dot pocket square with a puffy fold. In my view, puff fold is a great way of making a suit look relaxed. Ditching my socks was yet another move to create a more relaxed look.
You might say why even bother with a suit let alone put a tie round your neck. The truth is, you have a good case. However for me Friday is no different to Monday to Thursday when it comes to dress code. In fact I never dress down on Fridays. Ok that is stretching the truth a little bit lol. I have on many occasions wore Jeans and Chinos into work. In the past I even wore t-shirt into work when the weather allows it, mainly to show off my guns after a good week at the gym. Yeah I know it is a typical lads move and a bit cringe come to think of it. But anyway as I was saying about the suit, its a good idea to stand out from time to time at the office. I can’t think of a better day to do so than the odd Fridays.

Plus you might just run into your CEO in which case you may leave a good impression on their minds.
By taking off the tie, you can easily walk into a city bar on a Friday evening and completely look the part.
Please tell me your thoughts below. Do you think wearing a suit and a tie on a Friday is an overkill?
