Zenith Hotel Bangkok, Home away from home | Cuts for Him

I cannot believe my trip to Bangkok is all but behind me now. I remember getting on my BA flight in London and buzzing with excitement. I couldn’t wait to see this wonderful city I have read and watched many movies as far back as I could remember. The trip itself was made at the spur of the moment without detailed plans. I just remember wanting to visit Thailand and Vietnam so badly and next thing I knew, I was in Bangkok.

The taxi drive from the airport felt quite relaxing as we drove past many tall buildings with huge billboards everywhere. We were heading to Zenith hotel where I was to spend the duration of my stay in Bangkok. I am a bit particular about certain things when it comes to hotels on my travels. However, I had only booked this one with very little time to spare before arriving. In fact, it was booked literally hours before arrival. The only thing I had time to pay attention to was the location. As it turns out, my decision to stay at Zenith was the best. I couldn’t have chosen a better hotel for my trip as you will find out below.

Service and Hospitality

There is no hospitality like Thai hospitality. However, the staff at Zenith Hotel took this to a whole different level. There isn’t a single moment that I would walk into the hotel after a busy day of touring the city that I wouldn’t be greeted with smiling faces eager to help in whatever shape or form. Being a Londoner who is not used to courtesy at that level, it sometimes overwhelms me. But it is a great thing. I remember saying to myself, I could get used to this lol. From reception staff to housekeeping staff, everyone was super helpful. There is a personal touch of excellence in everything they do. Jenelyne and all the other front of house staff were exceptional.

Location

Location is one factor I am always particular about when I travel. As a travel blogger, I always want to be where I can experience local culture as much as possible. Zenith Hotel is about an hour from the Airport, depending on the traffic. The fact that it is located in Sukhumvit Soi 3 makes it perfect to experience the typical Bangkok daily life. It is centrally located with many shopping centers such as Gaysorn Plaza, Emporium, Siam Paragon all within walking distance. To the right of the hotel are many restaurants and eateries which serve delicious cuisines from Thai to Lebanese. Further down the road towards Nana metro station are plenty of options for street food. Honestly, you just have to have the street food as it is tasty and cheap. Moving about is not a problem as you can simply get one of the hotel concierge to hail a taxi or tuk-tuk for you right outside the hotel. If you feel like saving money and want to experience a slice of the daily life Bangkok, then the metro station is literally ten minutes walk from the hotel.

Food and Dining

The hotel has a restaurant on level 5 which serves international cuisines called The Tropical Max. A great alternative to going into the city for some food is this restaurant. The restaurant is spacious and well lit by natural light during the day and soft lighting by night. Depending on your booking, you will get a wide variety of cuisines during breakfast which starts at 7 am and ends at 10:30. The pastries are to die for.

Rooms

Judging from the one I was in, the rooms are very spacious and clean. The sheets and linen are always in pristine condition. The view from my room overlooks the city and other towers which gave it an urban feel. All rooms have ensuite bathrooms. For a hotel that is in the middle of the city, the rooms are very peaceful and quiet. Perfect to put up your feet and relax after a day out in busy Bangkok.

Amenities

  • Rooftop pool

Zenith Hotel has one of the best rooftop views in Bangkok in my opinion. I know this because I took the time to visit much taller buildings such as Lebua at state tower and believe me it just does not feel the same. Don’t get me wrong, the hotel building itself is certainly not the tallest but for a hotel that is located at a fairly busy district, the peace and quiet you get at the rooftop are next to none. Rather than sharing the views with many other tourists as is the case with other locations, you will be the only guest with the entire pool and Jacuzzi to yourself. The pool and Jacuzzi are well looked after and fully staffed at all times. All you have to do is order a drink or two from the mini bar and relax to watch the gorgeous sunset every evening.

  • Massage and Spar

If you have ever had a good massage before then you would know exactly what I mean when I say Thai Massage. The massage and spa facility at zenith is well staffed with industry professionals who actually ensure you have an amazing time. The atmosphere is perfect to forget the outside world and relax. Their price points are excellent which can be found here.

  • Gym

As someone who is into fitness (albeit sporadically), it is always a good thing to know that I have a fitness center at my disposal whenever I need one. I may not always use it as often as I would if I was home, but its comforting to know I can borrow 30 minutes from my day to keep fit. The gym at Zenith hotel is well equipped with all the necessary kit. It is clean and well looked after.

Honestly, I could write all day about Zenith hotel and could still not completely list out all the great experiences I had. Just too many to tell all. I would encourage you to head over to their website and check it out. Next time you plan a trip to Bangkok, Zenith should be on your list of hotels to consider. Zenith hotel is truly home away from home.
