London Fashion Week AW19 was one of the best as far as street style was concerned. It was a real pleasure to mingle with other creatives to show what London was all about in style. I personally think moving the event to Trauma Brewery in East London was inevitable seeing the direction the fashion scene was going.
When it comes to streetwear, London is one of the leading cities in the world with east London serving as the creative hub.
I was left a bit disappointed with the brands that showed this year. I did not feel inspired by most of the collections I saw. Out of about 10 shows and presentations, there were only three brands that saved the whole season which are Labrum, Oliver Spencer, and Belstaff. The real runway was on the streets of the east end with sartorial beauty making its mark. The street style on show was truly inspiring.
Here is my day 1 look.
I went to a simple and classic look which included:
Houndstooth green suit
Green hat
Burgundy overcoat
Red Tie
Brown tassled loafers
White shirt and red patterned socks.
