Love your skin, love Elemis | Cuts for Him review

Coming off the back of my last grooming post, I feel like I am on a roll here. However, I must admit to bringing you this article way later than anticipated.

So back in early October, I had the privilege of being treated to a facial at Elemis’s in-store exchange at John Lewis, Oxford street. Honestly, I have never been so excited about my skin after I got the treatment in a very long time. Within a matter of minutes, I saw my skin being transformed completely. Ok if I sound as if I am completely sold on this product. Having said all that, you must be wondering why it took me this long to do this article. Well, the plan was to create great imagery for the individual product within the range to go with this post but alas, this wasn’t to happen. As a content creator, I always want to create imagery to match the quality of the products I work with. However, you just going to have to rely on my words this time around until I do the intended shoot.

Elemis is quintessentially British and it is a market leading as far as luxury skincare is concerned. I first came across Elemis onboard a British Airways flight some time ago.  At the time, I thought the packaging was quite cool but did not pay much attention to the product itself until now.

Elemis prides itself on using ground-breaking science to produce results for skincare and lifestyle needs through ingredients sourced naturally from around the world.

Every GROUND-BREAKING formula is an innovative blend of science with the chemistry of nature, carefully crafted by a dedicated team of explorers, scientists, and skincare experts” – Elemis.

Apart from using products myself, I thought it would be useful to see what others are saying about Elemis. It gives me great satisfaction to say that “Superb, magnificent, fab” were some of the words used to describe the product.  This kind of fits in perfectly into what I thought of the brand itself.

I have chosen a few individual products to eloborate on just to give you a feel for the brand.

Aching Muscle Super Soak:

This is magical. I remember first using it in Dubai during one of my recent trips and how it just blew my mind how quickly my muscles recovered after a full day of hectic safari activities. The distinctive smell of clove and lavender helps me to relax my mind as I lay in the bath. This natural foaming bath soak has an energising and uplifting aroma

Deep Cleanse Facial Wash:

For someone who is always on the go on the tube and busses, the deep cleanse facial wash is a godsend as it leaves the skin on my face brilliantly clean and refreshed. The amazing thing is that I only have to use a small portion for one routine clean.

Ice-Cool Foaming Shave Gel:

This right here should be every man’s best friend. Not only does it help sooth my skin during shaving, it also protects and nourishes with its cooling Aloe Vera, Witch hazel and English oak. My 200ml bottle has lasted me much longer than I thought too.

As a brand, I can honestly say Elemis works wonders from customer service at the skin exchange at John Lewis to individual products delivering what they promise. The only thing I would add to the above is that I honestly wish the brand would push the brand a bit more to the male market. From experience, there are very few brands that can match what Elemis has to offer in terms of the range of products, authenticity, and the ethical way it sources its ingredients. Another thing to note is the prices. The prices are on the high end of the price scale but if you are someone who loves quality then you would be happy with Elemis.
