Where do I start? From the beginning, I guess :). Ok, attempt to make a dad joke failed, now back to the real business.
Corduroys were very popular in the 80s and parts of the 90s. As with everything fashion, they were no longer trendy and you wouldn’t be caught dead in them.. Up until two seasons ago, they had a reputation for being for granddads and grandmas. Fast forward to now when Cords have become cool again. Major fashion houses have added them to their collection for Autumn/Winter 2018/19.
It has been a minute since I did an article. In past posts, I know I kept saying and meaning to come back to writing consistently but the reality has been somewhat different.
The truth is that I have been devoided of my creativity to make digital content and write. I somehow have lost the spark that I had all these years. Things took a turn for the worst just after the Fashion Industry Insiders event I curated in September. Up until a few days ago, I felt stuck as everything I did couldn’t get me out of that zone.
Hi everyone. I know you have not seen me around these pages for over a month, but thats because I have been cooking something delicious for all you Londoners. I am absolutely delighted to formally announce to you all that I will be hosting the second annual Fashion Industry Insiders event on the 20th of September. But of course if you follow me on instagram, you would have seen me post about it many times.
What does Fashion Industry Insiders stand for you may ask. Fashion Industry Insiders is a fashion and lifestyle accelerator that aims to empower, educate and equip the next generation of fashion influencers in creative and innovative ways. The objective is to grow sustainable, value driven businesses and personalities that will tell a story of success and transformational change within the fashion industry and beyond. It is a brand I started two and half years ago.
Last year, Fashion Industry Insiders hosted over 150 guests at the prestigious Chelsea Harbor hotel. Out of the 150 guests who attended our event and was covered by bloggers and YouTubers reaching an estimated 110,000 online audience.
The theme for this year is ‘Fashion as an art form’ where we explore the intricate connection between fashion and forms of art such as music, photography and more. we aim to host about 250 guests and reach at least 500,000 online audience through our affiliate media partners during and after the live event.
From an amazing pret-a-potter fashion show, to the hearing from industry experts during the interactive panel, the event will be packed full of exciting things. On the night, there will be live music performances with our headline artist being the amazing and sensational Ciinderalla B. There will be drinks and light refreshment too. I mean why should anyone miss this event?
Well, if I was you, I would get my ticket on eventbrite right now to make sure I dont miss out on all this amazing show.
Some of our official partners are Elemis, Vitabiotics, Arvense, Love Chin Chin and many more.
